BLB #2

For my personal brand, I will be working on a branded LinkedIn page. The site is located here: Adam Jiwa's LinkedIn Page. This can help me by providing me a more professional marketing site with people looking for services such as mine. My personal brand is going to be marketed as a “man of two lives.” First as a professional marketing, advertising, and media teacher by day, and a disc golf teacher in the afternoon and evenings.

My goals that will involve the latter will include history, course reading and layout, basics of throwing the disc, and just having fun. Most of the details discussed will be taught and presented as we and the client play the course. With my current schedule, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will be the typical days for instruction. This will allow the players to take their time and learn the sport at pace that will allow rest if needed and mostly so that they will enjoy playing with their friends in the future.

As a brainstorm, the class will cost $45, and will include 3 discs/frisbee’s that the player will get to keep after the first lesson. (Discs will cost me $15 for three.) The sport is played like regular golf, but instead of clubs, balls, and course fees. A person playing disc golf just needs three different weighted frisbees (drivers, mid range, and putter), a little patience, a willingness to learn, and a desire to have fun. Players can bring their own discs, and a discount will be offered if they wish to do so. Hours of play will depend on tournament times at the courses, as well as weather, and sunset times to play.

I believe that this will be a better way to market myself for people that will pay for this hands-on class instruction/service. The reason this will be a better outlet for me is because most of my friends on Facebook would not expect to pay for my learning experience because of the close friendships I have made throughout the years. This is will also be a great way to get young adults who need positive influences in their lives, as well as adults who are looking for more modernistic forms of exercise.
